Drinking fountain for indoor school sports ,
KISD, 2007
Only in every fifth school in Germany it is normal
for pupils to drink during physical education. On the one hand pupils
aren't allowed to leave the sports hall to drink because then the teacher
wouldn't be able to look after them. And on the other hand it's not allowed
in many schools to bring drinks inside the sports hall because of the
dirt this may cause.
The drinking fountain specially addresses this problem and makes it possible
for pupils to drink inside of the sports hall. The fountain
is supplied by a water gallon, so that it can be placed everywhere without
being dependent of any water infrastructure. It
is specially designed to place it in a corner of the sports hall, where
it can't fall over on the one hand and doesn't disturb sports on the
other hand. The front of the drinking fountain is made out of "PU-foam"
to reduce the risk of injurys. (groupwork with Jan Schröder)
